As you know I had a recent malpractice case involving heel spur surgery. We won this case with a verdict for defense. I feel a major part of my win revolves around the use of the FluoroScan. The jury was quite impressed with this device and its safety in doing heel spur surgery.
It proceeded to change my whole practice from the very first week I started to use it. Almost every patient that comes in is examined with help from the Mini-C. It becomes very obvious to them, usually for the first time, what is actually going on in their feet.
You were right! I do not know how I lived without the FluoroScan in my practice. Since purchasing the unit in September 2008, I have used it every day. It has saved me a tremendous amount of time and money and most important, my patients love the technology.
The reimbursements are a tremendous bonus. Everything you said to me while we were discussing purchasing the unit was true. It has greatly helped my practice. In dealing with Mini C Sales, I have had a very positive experience, and would be happy to do business again with them in the future.
The FluoroScan Mini C Arm has been indispensable in my office and surgical center. It is used in almost every surgery. The patients like seeing “their bones” also on camera prints.
I use the FluoroScan for approximately 80% of my imaging needs. I have developed an apparatus that allows me to obtain AP views for evaluation of weight bearing hallus valgus and I use this exclusively now instead of the routine standing radiographs.
I practiced 39 years without this machine in our office, but knowing what I know now, the convenience, the time savings, the patient acceptance, are just a few of the perks, and I know of no negatives.
Just a note to tell you how successful the Mini C Arm has been in our practice. It has been received by our patients as a modality of infinite interest. It allows us the ability for instantaneous visualization, and needless to say, our patients are fascinated with this technology.
The Mini C Arm has been accepted by HMOs and insurance companies alike, with little or no difficulty in billing. We find in our office that this device is certainly more convenient and versatile than our standard x-ray equipment (Min—x-ray, and automatic processing).
This letter is long overdue. I have spent the last few years loving the financial benefits of my FluoroScan provided by Mini C Sales. I must credit them in giving me sound advice and providing my practice with quality equipment.
When I initially considered the purchase of the Mini C-arm (FluoroScan), its cost gave me concern. Now that I have used it for several months, it has proved to be a great source of both revenue, as well as a great assist in surgery. I will have it paid off in full in less than 1 year
I had just opened a new podiatry practice so this was a major expense for me. Fortunately it was one of the best investments I made. The reimbursement for the scope has certainly exceeded its cost. In addition, the surgical time savings has allowed me to schedule more efficiently with a significant increase in income.
